The idea to create some kind of internet music show was something I had on my mind for a few years already before it became reality this November. As a traveling musician I have met many interesting colleagues over the years and developed some close musical friendships. I thought about inviting these musical friends as guests, sing with them and interview them about their musical life at our recording studio in Kiedrich.

With the start of the first lockdown in March I had time to develop this idea further and teach myself the necessary technical skills for such a video-production. I soon found out that I would need to invest into new equipment to supplement my already existing sound and video recording studio.
The added cameras and streaming encoders as well as countless little converter boxes, tripods and cables turned the sound recording space almost into a TV Studio. For the first episode I decided to sing and play with my wife Tamar in order to introduce the Show concept. Room Service is an entirely self-produced show that mixes music with local history and the ancient tradition of wine making that dominates the entire Rheingau region.
Expect further visits to interesting wine makers as well as the beautiful historic sites of the Rheingau region and new musical guests in our future shows.
Room Service is available as VOD (Video on demand) and I hope that music lovers who would otherwise come to my concerts will access Room Service instead and stay connected with me and my music.
